...

sarsen a silicified sandstone boulder of a kind which occurs on the chalk downs of southern England. Such stones were used in constructing Stonehenge and other prehistoric monuments

Mark has been working with stone since 2004 after beginning work with a fellow stonemason who was also a Chelsea Flower Show silver medallist. His skills were honed and shaped by his time with the 'Green Man' who became a lifelong friend and who helped him develop a creative style whilst utilising traditional construction methods. Mark has a keen passion for the outdoors and nature and draws inspiration from his surroundings when out on the fells of the Lake District and beyond.

Sarsen's aim is to deliver exceptional standards of work with forward thinking creative designs that are both practical, and tailored to our customers needs. We love nothing more than getting stuck into a seemingly complicated project with a straightforward solution and a can do attitude! We look forward to hearing from you.
